Linaker Primary School Welcomes Families to Our 2026 Open Events
Our events provided an opportunity for parents and carers to meet key staff, tour the school, learn about our curriculum and provision, and discover the many experiences that make life at Linaker so enriching.
Visitors heard from Headteacher Mark Cunniffe and had the chance to explore our learning environments, including our vibrant Early Years provision, where children benefit from a free-flow approach that encourages curiosity, independence and exploration both indoors and outdoors.
A particular highlight was sharing feedback from our families. Our most recent parent survey showed the highest overall parent satisfaction across the Trust, with parents praising our welcoming atmosphere, strong communication, caring staff and sense of community. Families consistently highlighted the positive relationships that help children feel happy, safe and successful at school.
At Linaker, we are proud of the opportunities we provide beyond the classroom. Through our vision of "Enriching experiences. Inspiring interests. Creating memories.", children enjoy a wide range of activities that support both academic achievement and personal development. Visitors also learned about our House Point system, healthy lifestyle initiatives, extensive Early Years provision and commitment to ensuring every child has the best possible start to their education.
For families unable to attend, we are pleased to offer additional opportunities to visit the school. Our Open Events include a welcome presentation, a guided tour of the school and the opportunity to speak with pupils and staff. Morning visits are particularly popular as they allow families to see classrooms in action.
If you are considering a Reception place for September 2027, applications are now open, with the national closing date of 15 January 2027. We encourage families to visit and experience the warmth, ambition and community spirit that make Linaker Primary School such a wonderful place to belong.
